The City of Seal Beach is requesting quotes/estimates for the testing of various backflows throughout the City. There are 88 Backflows needing testing ranging from ¾ to 8” including various types. The types include DC, RP, PVB, DCDA, with the majority being 2” inch RP devices. Devices are located in parkways, medians, parks, streets, commercial buildings, and tester must follow Traffic control safety measures including W.A.T.C.H. Book Manual, and proper safety control measures. All Personal Protective Safety practices and equipment must be used and adhered to, including COVID-19 protocols. Backflow Testers must have current Orange County Backflow Testers certificate, all equipment and tools necessary, and up to date with current device calibration. Repairs will be addressed as needed, with notifications and no guarantees of repairs to contractor. Testing must take place during business hours, 8am – 3:30pm Monday through Friday. No work is guaranteed, and any work must be approved.
