This solicitation constitutes public notice of intent to purchase annual service maintenance for ZBackscatter Van. The intended source is American Science and Engineering, INC. 829 Middlesex Turnpike, Bilerica, MA 01821 USA. It is intended that this requirement will be negotiated on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all submissions received by 21 September 2018, at 1:00 PM EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This solicitation is published for informational purposes only. The proposed source, American Science and Engineering, INC., is the only authorized company that manufactures/services ZBackscatter Vans due to the fact that they are the direct manufacturer ofZBackscatter Vans. The Government does not intend to pay for any information received in response to this announcement. Each quotation shall state that proposed unit prices will remain in effect for at least 30 calendar days after date of proposal receipt.
