a.  US Development

1)  Weapon Training System - Bangor Virtual MCC Lab

The contractor shall upgrade the Bangor Mk 30 Mod 4 Weapons Training Systems IAW OD 36763 delivering a new Training Lab capability that will simulate a SWS MCC providing a Weapons System training capability with the upgraded SSI #1 Tube Lab in support SSBN MT crew training requirements on the operation of the SWS.  The contractor shall install, via SPALT, the new WTS capability at the TRIDENT Training Facility in Bangor, WA achieving an RFT on or before June 1, 2010.

2)  Weapon Training System - Bangor Virtual MCC Lab

 The contractor shall upgrade the FCSIM 944 SW Baseline IAW OD 61424 delivering a new capability that will integrate with the Weapons Training System SSI #1 Bangor single Tube Lab.

Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA.  GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.  See Note 22.*****
