The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA/NWS, National Data Buoy Center, plans to negotiate on a sole source basis, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, with Setra Systems for the purchase of 30 each, 270-NDBC-512 barometers, 0-5 VDC output, 800-1100 mbar range, -20 to 50 deg. C compensated temperature range, +/-12 volt power supply, MS connector, 32 turn potentiometer (zero & span), 7/16-20 pressure fitting, special mounting bracket. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, however, all quotes received by closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All vendors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR), NAICS code 334513 applies to this procurement. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition. Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, must be submitted with your offer. If offering an equal product, provide sufficient technical/descriptive product literature for technical evaluation. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required products. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible offeror who can meet specific requirements and is most advantageous to the Government considering price and other price related factors. Telephone requests/inquiries will not be honored. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. No written solicitation will be issued. This requirement is Subject to the Availability of Funds, IAW FAR 52.232-18.
