It is the intent of this contract to survey selected areas of the Allegheny National Forest for bats with emphasis on the northern long-eared bat (Myotis septentrionalis), specifically pregnant, lactating, or post-lactating females (hereafter referred to as the target). Surveys will be conducted using mist-nets, following protocols established by the USFWS, for mist-netting for the northern long-eared bat. The location of each survey site will be accurately recorded using a Global Positioning System (GPS) unit. The Contractor will furnish all the supervision, labor, transportation and other incidentals, except as otherwise provided by the government.
