The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), ERRC, Food Safety and Intervention Technologies (FSIT) Research Unit in Wyndmoor, PA, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to E.I. du Pont Nemours and Company in Wilmington, DE on a sole source basis, to furnish and deliver (FOB) Destination Bax Reagent Kits to the Eastern Regional Research Center. This will be a firm fixed price contract. Anticipated date of award is September 2, 2016.

The kits includes 25 EACH OF BAX SYSTEM REAL TIME STEC SCREENING KIT (D1464296), 25 EACH OF BAX® SYSTEM - REAL TIME E.COLI 0157:57 (D14203648), 20 EACH OF BAX SYSTEM REAL TIME STEC PANEL 1 KIT (D14642970), 20 EACH OF BAX SYSTEM REAL TIME STEC PANEL 2 KIT (D14642987) AND 25 EACH OF BAX®SYSTEM - L.MONOCYTOGENES KIT - 96 TESTS (D11000157).

These kits will be used with the DuPont Q7 BAX System. These kits will be used in a multi
-year, multi-agency research project to determine the presence, levels, and types of non-0157:H7
Shiga-toxin producing E.coli in ground veal purchased at retail.

A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely at the discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b).
