The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The proposed sole source is Beckman Coulter for preventative maintenance service of two Government-owned, Beckman Coulter Hematology Analyzers, model DxH 800. Beckman Coulter is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of this analyzer and due to the proprietary nature, Beckman Coulter is the only known source capable of conducting preventative maintenance and repair service.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
