The 7th Contracting Squadron at Dyess AFB intends on purchasing multiple mattress and bedding for two (2) newly renovated dormitories. Mattresses and bedding is available through a mandatory AFICC Enterprise Strategic Sourcing (ESS) solution with UNICOR and will be purchased through this source. The Air Force Bedding and Mattress Program is a MOA between AFICC, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. (FPI), and HAF/A4 that mandates dormitory mattresses and bedding be purchased through the UNICOR website. FPI, also referred to as UNICOR, is a self-supporting, wholly owned Government corporation of the District of Columbia therefore this will be a direct award to UNICOR This announcement serves as a synopsis to industry in accordance with FAR 5.203.
