The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiateon a sole source basis a Cost Plus Fixed Fee BOA order with Bell-Boeing for the purchase for the design, development, and manufacture of Peculiar Support Equipment, Logistics Support, End Item Spares, technical manuals, calibration, and associated data to support the Intermediate and Operational levels of maintenance for V-22 SERDs 2785 Rudder Gust Lock, CV-22; 2917 Zerk Fitting Removal Tool; 2785 Rudder Gust Lock, CV-22 Workaround; 2917 Zerk Fitting Removal Tool Workaround. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1. Bell-Boeing is considered the only supplier, as they have the technical expertise to provide the logistics data necessary for the items identified completely, accurately, and in a timely manner to meed Fleet needs. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
