The scope of work involves the resurfacing of Bellmore Avenue in Bellmore to extend its service life and provide smooth ridership and comfort to motorists. The roadway will be widened in order to provide on-street parking on both sides of the road. Project limits are from Merrick Road to Sunrise Highway. Concrete valley gutters will be installed where necessary in order to eliminate ponding. Streetscape will also include, but not limited to, the installation of decorative street lighting, trash receptacles, as well as the installation of concrete curb & gutter, sidewalks, colored & imprinted concrete utility strips, landscaping and ADA compliant ramps and driveway aprons within the project limits, and within Nassau County’s jurisdiction, utility relocations and coordination and other pedestrian and traffic safety measures.
