The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, Maryland, intends to negotiate an option year contract (base year plus two one year options), on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1 (b), with AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges) to take part in “Faculty Forward: The Alliance for Advancing the Academic Workplace.” The Faculty Forward initiative is being procured as a commercial item in accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). The sole source determination is based on AAMC being the only organization to provide USUHS (Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences) with a benchmarking tool that compares USUHS faculty satisfaction with peers nation-wide through the use of a customized tool that provides actionable steps that can be implemented right away.  This is not a request for quote.
