Work under this bid includes, but is not limited to: Upgrades to the fire suppression systems in BESC as shown on drawings and specs to bring building into compliance with fire marshal citation. Contractor to install all materials, supports, and anchoring. Concrete decks in BESC are post-tensioned concrete, as such contractor is to have x-rays performed to ensure no tendons or cables are hit in proposed locations for all deck penetrations, including anchor points. Costs associated with x-ray services are contractor’s responsibility. Fire watch will be required anytime existing fire sprinkler systems need to be shut down to make connections. For Dry-head systems in refrigerators and freezers, the dry length for Area H, G, and F are to be sized for refrigerator temperatures, and the dry length for areas D&E are to be sized for freezer temperatures. Due to department needs Areas D&E are highest priority for completion, followed by Area H, G, and F. Contractor shall submit daily reports via e-mail to the owner describing daily progress, manpower onsite, current conditions, material deliveries, inspections performed, safety issues, and any items that may cause delay. Daily reports shall be accompanied by photos of work taking place.
