FY24 Big Cypress National Preserve
The National Park Service, Southeast Region, West Major Acquisition Buying Office, hereby issues a combined synopsis/solicitation for a requirement for Big Cypress National Preserve
Description of work
The purpose of this project is to create defensible space around values of special concern, maintain existing fire breaks, install new firebreaks, and to reduce hazardous fuel loading in desired areas within Big Cypress National Preserve to improve efficiency and safety of future prescribed fie operations as well as future wildfire suppression. Mastication for the purpose of this document is defined as ¿mulching¿, ¿chipping¿, ¿mowing¿, with the use of heavy equipment with a mastication head.
Project Location
The mastication project consists of multiple burn units and preserve boundaries within Big Cypress. A map has been included to represent all potential project areas. Updated maps will be available to contractors as areas are approved through compliance. Project area can be accessed by multiple road and trail systems. Some areas are very remote and will require long travel distances of the mastication machinery due to limited access for transport vehicles. Please take this into consideration when preparing a proposal.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The NAICS code for this acquisition is 561730. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This Acquisition shall result in award of a firm fixed price contract.
Evaluation factors: The selection will be made by evaluating proposals based on cost, requirement adherence, and past relevant experience. Bidders must be able to provide references of applicable experience to receive the award.
