The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center (FMC Butner), intends to award a sole source purchase order to Government Scientific Source in Reston, Vigina for the continuation of a monthly reagent and rental and maintenance agreement the government entered into in FY 2005, which provides a BIO-RAD Evolis analyzer for automated HIV, Syphilis and H. Pylori testing. The rental/maintenance agreement includes the cost for the analyzer, disposables, consumables, quality control materials, calibration materials, service, HIV Western Blot confirmatory testing kits and instrument/reagent freight for several Federal Correctional Institutions. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1-only responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 423450. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, as no solicitation document is available. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give a written or faxed notification to the Contracting Officer within five (5) calender days from the date of this published synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement.
