Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Charleston, SCintends to award, on a sole source basis, multiple procurement actions for the
delivery of Biometric Automated Toolset (BAT) Client and Server System hardware
and software during the period (date of approval through two years thereafter).
The total estimated value of the procurements is $22,000,000. Attachment A
identifies the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the components to
which this synopsis applies. Attachment A may be found at the SPAWAR
e-commerce website at http://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil/. The Government
intends to solicit and negotiate with only the Attachment A sources under the
authority of FAR 6.302. While this synopsis serves as notice of the Government
s intent to acquire this equipment from the sources listed in Attachment A, it
does not preclude the Government from acquiring equipment through other
procurement strategies which may better serve the Governments needs. This
notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however,
interested parties may express their interest and capability to respond to the
requirements. In those situations where the Government determines that
identical parts are available from more than one source, it will compete these
acquisitions among the identified sources. A determination by the Government
not to compete these proposed procurements based upon responses to this notice
is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice
is due ten calendar days from the date of this publication. The SPAWARSYSCEN
