The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Division of Applied Research and Technology, Biomonitoring and Health Assessment Branch hereby announces its intent to issue a purchase order to Alere, Inc. for Biomonitoring Kits to measure: 9 anti-nuclear antibodies(ANAs; anti-SS/A, anti-SS/B, anti-Sm, anti-RNP, anti-Jo-1, anti-Sci-70, anti-dsDNA, anti-Centromere B, and anti-Histone), anti-Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV 1 and 2) IgG, anti-Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) viral capsid antigen, early antigen and EBV nuclear antigen IgG, anti-rheumatoid factor (RF) IgM, anti-thyroid globulin and thyroid peroxidase (Tg/TPO) IgG.  The kits must measure in a multiplexed manner (several analytes simultaneously) the specific markers of immunotoxicity needed measuring.

The Government will reviewany/all item descriptions and pricing information submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could provide this requirement.  Information received in response will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with Alere, Inc. 30 South Keller Road, Orlando, FL 32810 as the only source available and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
