This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement. 

 The objectives of this contract are to provide laboratory processing, data analyses and manuscript preparation services involving bioenergetics research to RECA scientists at ABL's Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute.  Laboratory processing will involve bioprocessing of juvenile Pacific salmon species, Pacific herring, and arrow tooth flounder (ATF) primarily as well as other  marine forage fish species in preparation for bioenergetic analysis in the analytical chemistry laboratory including  data management. Data analyses and manuscript preparation will include data summaries, database management, statistical modelling and assistance authoring sections for peer reviewed manuscripts involving bioenergetic concepts. The work involves working in a group setting with multiple scientists.

All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
