The goal is to translate basic research into concrete vaccine products that can be rapidly deployed to protect public health. The Forte Bio Octet machine that is currently in use by NIAID is a critical aspect in meeting NIAID goals, allowing researchers to assess antibodies and immunogens involved in active immunization studies and passive protection studies in a high-throughput manner with high reproducibility and reliability. Consumables for the Fortebio Octet currently in use by NIAID are only manufactured and sold by ForteBio. To change systems / consumables at this time would cause variables in data that would adversely affect years of research.
Place of delivery is Bethesda, MD 20892.
