633D Contracting Squadron on Langley AFB, Virginia has a requirement to provide Base Records Management services. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561110, Office Administrative Services, with a size standard of 6.5 million dollars.
This requirement will be procured on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source.
The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract, with a base plus 4 option years, for “The Administrative Communications/Official Mail Center (OMC) and Base Records Management” service requirement on Langley AFB, Virginia. This requirement will provide services for receiving, processing, distributing, and dispatching United States Postal Service (USPS) and official mail for all base-supported activities. The contractor shall be responsible for picking up all official outgoing material, sorting, consolidating, and applying correct official metered postage and coordinating dispatches with the USPS and private small parcel delivery companies.
This requirement will be directly awarded to “The Arc of the Virginia Peninsula, Inc.", an “AbilityOne” company. The Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act 41 U.S.C. § 46 et seq. is a U.S. federal law requiring that all federal agencies purchase specified supplies and services from nonprofit agencies employing persons who are blind or have other significant disabilities. The Government anticipates an award date on or before 1 April 2012. Again, a response to this synopsis is not required.
