The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical School and Health Sciences University, and the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI) hereby announces its intent to contract on a sole source basis for SteelCloud's SteelWorks FedMobile: Blackberry Enterprise Servers (BES) and licenses to support USUHS and AFRRI email for BlackBerry devices. SteelCloud is located in Herndon, VA.
USUHS and AFRRI need a vehicle providing Windows and Wireless ready servers which are fully compliant with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) mandate 8500.2. Steel cloud's SteelWorks FedMobile products provides Windows and Wireless ready on a single server, which meets DISA mandate 8500.2 requirement requiring compliance with IT Policy and BlackBerry Checklist for conformance with the associated Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) policy.
SteelCloud is the only vendor who provides out-of the box STIG compliance and BlackBerry server software products.
This award is IAW FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1) and authorizes USUHS to award contracts when only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
