Work to Be Done: The successful Bidder shall provide all skill; labor, material, and equipment for the construction of a new maintenance barn. Work shall include but not be limited to, a TURN KEY project to provide a new maintenance barn at Blythe Island Regional Park in Glynn County, Georgia. The intent is for the contractor to generate a set of plans, obtain all permits, and construct the building. Please see plans for dimensions. All work shall be in accordance with the Technical Specifications and the construction drawings, if any. All material shall conform to the specifications contained in the Technical Specifications. 1. FACILITY CONSTRUCTION- COMPLETE: The contractor shall provide a price to provide and install the package as provided in the approved architectural drawings. Final payment will not be made without a Certification of Occupancy being issued. 2. APPLIANCE, TOOLS, & FURNITURE ALLOWANCE: The contract bid document establishes a $20,000 allowance for appliances and tools as may be desired for the facility by staff. The contractor shall coordinate with the Recreation Division Manager to ascertain what appliances/tools are desired, brands, colors, etc. The contractor shall provide said appliances/tools and installations thereof in a timely manner to avoid delaying the work. The contractor shall obtain proposals for each item for use in making the final selections. Include recommendations that are relevant to performing the work. Contractor shall purchase products and systems selected from the designated supplier. Submit proposals for purchase of products in the form specified for Change Orders. Submit invoices or delivery slips to show actual quantities for use in fulfillment of each item. Coordinate and process submittals for allowance items in the same manner as for other portions of the Work. Allowance shall include costs to the contractor for specific products and materials ordered by the Owner under allowance and shall include taxes, freight, and delivery to the site. Contractor’s costs for receiving and handling at Project site, labor, installation, overhead and profit, and similar costs related to products and materials ordered by Owner under allowance shall be included as part of the Contract sum and not part of the allowance. No part of the allowance shall be released to the contractor beyond that approved by the Director or Project Manager for approved use and any remaining monies shall be kept by the Owner. Items that may be subject to purchase under this item may be, but not limited to, refrigerator with ice maker/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, 6500 watt generator, large capacity air compressor with hoses/reels, small welder, ice machine, table with chairs, employee workstation/computer access, etc. 3. SITE WORK: The site shall be cleared and awaiting construction. The contractor shall prepare all subgrade as necessary for compactions, utilities, and final grades. Borrow material will be provided by Glynn County as necessary for construction.
