The Membrane Transport Biophysics Section (MTBS) of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) requires a western blot imaging system that is brand name or equal to Azure Biosystems Inc.’s Azure 400, Model AZI400, to perform research using up-to-date imaging approaches to visualize and quantify membrane transport proteins and to verify that the molecular biology procedures and protein purification protocols implemented are successful.
