THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. Any requests for a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored. Regional Health Contracting Office - Central, Fort Carson Health Contracting Cell is surveying the market to identify firms capable of providing Depuy Synthes Actis Total Hip Arthroplasty and MBT TC3 Knee Replacement System Components, Brand Name or Equal, for William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, TX. It is anticipated that the proposed requirement will result in a Firm Fixed-Priced contract.

The Salient Characteristics are listed below:

Actis Total Hip Arthroplasty: Manufactured from forged titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) and have a sintered commercially pure titanium bead porous coating (Porocoat) and thin layer of plasma-sprayed hydroxyapatite (HA) coating. Wide range of stem neck designs and sizes allowing for an accurate anatomical match per patient and must be compatible with both unipolar and bipolar heads intended for hemi-arthroplasty with modular metal and ceramic femoral heads.

MBT TC3 Knee Replacement System: Components comprised of CoCrMo alloy cruciate with an asymmetric trochlear groove; available in sizes 1.5 to 6; right and left versions; with or without lugs on the fixation surface; and incorporate an intercondylar box and bolt hole. Femoral components without lugs allow for the attachment of modular augments on the distal and posterior fixation surfaces. Fixation of the component to the femur achieved with bone cement.

Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to products listed above. In response to this notice, interested firms are invited to submit information demonstrating their ability to fulfill the requirement in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this notice. Responses shall include company name, address, POC phone number and e-mail address, and size standard.

Interested parties are responsible for marking information that is proprietary in nature. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow up information requests. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it, pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. No subcontracting opportunity is anticipated. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract action based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
