Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is pleased to invite you to be a Bidder by making a proposal and participating in this IFB process. WMATA is soliciting proposals for the multi-year contract for operation and maintenance of bicycle parking services, along with replacement of old bicycle parking equipment and the introduction of new equipment that will better serve our customers. It is WMATAs intent that the company awarded to provide these bicycle services (Contractor) will make our bicycle and personal mobility services more efficient and effective. This will improve the quality of their transit experience and ultimately encourage more customers to choose personal mobility over cars to connect with transit. WMATA currently owns and operates approximately 1,200 bicycle lockers and 2,000 bicycle racks at 69 of its 91 stations within its service area of Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
