The desired characteristics for such a system (not in priority order) are as follows: (1) safe for outdoor use in inclement weather to include temperature extremes; (2) allow the user to record video; (3) camera shall have onboard battery and storage capability. Above noted characteristics are top level desired characteristics additional attributes may be communicated via a potential future request for information.

The eyewear will be tested to the optical requirements of ANSI/ ISEA Z87.1 -2010 "AMERICAN STANDARD FOR OCCUPATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PERSONAL EYE AND PROTECTION DEVICES defined in section 5.1. Please provide any existing test data on eyewear to assist in optical testing, to include Optical Quality Test, Transmittance Test, Haze Test, Refractive Power, Astigmatism and Resolving Power Tests, Prismatic Power Test, to include test method used and test results.

Proprietary information will not be disclosed outside the U.S. Government. All interested firms, regardless of size are encouraged to respond to this request for information. It should be noted that this is a market survey and not a pre-solicitation notice. A pre-solicitation notice will be published if a formal solicitation is generated. No awards will result from this market survey. Nothing shall be construed herein or through the market survey process to commit or obligate the Government to further action as a result of this market survey.
