Imperial Irrigation District (IID), an irrigation district established under Division 11 of the California Water Code, Sections 20500 et seq., that provides non-potable water, farm drainage and power services to the lower southeastern portion of California's desert, is requesting proposals from highly qualified Respondents to: Provide biological/ecological consulting services to conduct a field survey for western burrowing owls (Athene cunicularia hypugea) along IID right-of-way. The selected Respondent will use the survey results (a sub-sample of the entire IID right-of-way system) to estimate the burrowing owl (BUOW) population within the right-of-way of the IID Service Area. CRITICAL DATES FOR ACTION: 1. Mandatory Meeting There will be a mandatory meeting which will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 9:00 a.m., Local Time, at IID’s Bell Building, 2151 W. Prospective respondents must be present and signed in prior to the start of the mandatory meeting. Anyone not signed in at the official start of the meeting will be considered late and will not be allowed to submit a proposal. Anyone who does not attend the entire mandatory meeting will not be credited with attending. 2.
