This solicitation constitutes public notice of intent to purchase a C-119B Nose Landing Gear (specific to the Korean War Era) for the AMC Museum C-119B Static Display. The intended source is Sheppard Trucking, 39 Burma Rd., Riverton, WY, 82501. It is intended that this requirement will be negotiated on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all submissions received by September 13, 2017 at 4:30 pm EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This solicitation is published for informational purposes only. The proposed source, Sheppard Trucking, is the only company that can provide this part due to its rarity. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 336411- Aircraft rebuilding (i.e., restoration to original design specifications) and has a size standard of 1,500 employees. The Government does not intend to pay for any information received in response to this announcement.
