The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is seeking a qualified Architect/Engineering (A&E) Firm with specialty and/or experiences in designing Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center to prepare documents for Project 580-07-401, "Renovate Space for Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center" located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030. This procurement is full and open competition and is restricted to firms located within a 100 mile radius of the MEDVAMC. The NAICS Codes is 541310 with a size standard of $4.5M. The A/E Selection Process will be done in accordance with FAR 36.602-1. All work shall comply with current VA Master Specifications and Standard Details. Work will be in accordance with the provided scope of work, and is to be done in a first class manner as approved by the Facility Manager. Followed is the scope of work for this project: the A&E firm shall provide all architectural and engineering services for the design development of two (2) schemes and construction bid documents for the selected scheme. This project renovates approximately 5000 square feet of existing space for the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center. The A&E contract will include design development of space program and two (2) optional schemes, construction specifications and drawings including equipment layout, construction cost estimate by third party, construction period services, and site visits. Award of a contract is contingent upon the availability of funds. Interested firms shall submit their SF 330 to this office no later than 4:00 PM (CT) August 17, 2007. SF330 may be submitted electronically to Nam-Phuong Nguyen, Contract Specialist: [email protected]. The completed SF 330 will be evaluated by a MEDVAMC engineering evaluation board which will furnish the Contracting Officer an evaluation report and a list of at least three most highly qualified firms in order of preference, so the Contracting Officer may commence the negotiation with. As of October 1, 2003, all Contractors, both large and small, are required to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award.
