The United States House of Representatives (House), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is seeking offers that will prepare a Comprehensive Lighting Design that will modernize the lighting of the United States Capitol Building Dome. The scope of work will include the lighting of the interior and exterior of the Capitol Dome. The design shall describe the role of the lighting in enhancing the exterior and the architecture of the building at night and shall emphasize methods for incorporating energy saving lighting design and sustainability as a part of the overall effort. A mandatory pre-bid conference, walk-through of the Capitol?s Dome and drawing review will be held on November 2, 2007. Contractors must be attended in order to submit a proposal. Please ensure compliance with section L.2 of the RFP for access authorization. This RFP and any amendments, if any, are available electronically through the following website http://www.house.gov/cao-opp/currentsol.shtml. Questions relating to this RFP shall be submitted in writing to Toinetta Bridgeforth by e-mail at [email protected] with a copy to [email protected] by 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time November 7, 2007. Written responses to all questions will be provided in the form of an amendment to this solicitation. The deadline for receipt of proposals is by 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time November 19, 2007. No verbal requests for the solicitation package will be honored.
