The Mission Installation Contracting Command -Fort Hood Texas Office intends to issue an 8(a) Restricted Competitive solicitation for Fort Hood to support the Tactical Command, Control, Computers and Communications (C4) Support for the III CORPS and its Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs), tenant organizations and other Missions. The Fort Hood Tactical Command Posts (CPs), Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), and other command and control (C2) cells provide commanders and staff with the necessary C2 and C4I environmental tools to effectively execute the Corps Commander's intent and vision of tactical and non-tactical mission assignments in support of Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO). These CPs, EOCs, and other communication nodes have highly complex and integrated audio, visual, communication, and computer information technology (IT) systems that must provide reliable and responsive information, data and audio visual support required by the commanders and staff to perform their tactical and non-tactical missions.
The solicitation W91151-18-R-0100 for the C4 Tactical will be forthcoming on or about 28 February 2018 and will be available to prospective offerors. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors is applicable to this acquisition. The applicable size and standard is $15M. Pursuant to FAR 4.1102(a), prospective Contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract.
