THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025916N0141. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Globus Medical; 2560 General Armistead Ave; Audobon, PA, 19403. The objective of this sole source award is to acquire a coalition 1 level C5-7 ACDF system.
Salient Characteristics must include:
1. Non-Threaded Locking caps in order to be able to adjust the rod without stripping the system.
2. Drills and taps provide spring loaded covers to protect patient anatomy.
3. Half Threaded shoulder screws to protect nerves and anatomy.
Globus Medical is the manufacturer and sole distributer of the needed software. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112; the small business size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 2:50 PM Pacific Time on May 12, 2016 be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Jeff Collins at [email protected]. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
