The project provides two graving dock caissons for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, located in Kittery, Maine. The caissons w ill be a separate contract funded as part of MILCON P-381 Multi Mission Dry Dock #1. The caissons w ill be for Dry Dock #1N and Dry Dock #1W. Caisson construction includes steel fabrication, installation of mechanical and electrical systems, and a full testing program of the caisson and its interface w ith the new ly constructed dry dock seats. Construction w ill be primarily offsite w ith delivery to the shipyard and final testing at the dry docks.
