SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. The intent of this notice is to identify qualified, experienced, and interested offerors capable of performing the type of work as described herein for information and planning purposes. The information received will be utilized by the United States Air Force to facilitate the planning and decision-making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests.  Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of this sources sought. Respondents are not required to submit information in response to this announcement to participate in any future solicitation that may come as a result of the information received. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.

The 55th Contracting Squadron, Offutt Air Force Base, NE, is seeking information for the following items listed below:

General: The purpose of this sources sought is to conduct Market Research in accordance with FAR Part 10, for the repair of the Capehart Chapel on Offutt AFB. This project consists of removing damaged siding and existing leaded glass windows on both sides of the A-frame church (approximately 70’ in height) and replacing them with new siding and customer designed windows to accommodate the leaded glass. The flat roof structure is designed to have some siding replaced and all new windows. There is a small amount of exterior electrical work. Construction work will involve carpentry both structural and finish, painters, window blinds supplier, security fencing contractor, electrical and demolition in accordance with (IAW) the attached Specifications and Drawings. All project work and related services shall be performed IAW all terms, conditions, special contract requirements, specifications, drawings, attachments, technical exhibits and references and publications contained in the contract or incorporated by reference.

This acquisition is being considered as a set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 – Commercial and Institutional Construction with a small business size standard of $39.5M and the Product Service Code (PSC) is Z2QA - Repair or Alteration of Restoration of Real Property. Should a future requirement evolve from this market research, it is anticipated that the contract term will be for an eight (8) month base ordering period.
