The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to make a Sole Source Award to Standard & Poor's, 55 Water St. 46th Floor, New York, NY 10041-0004. The Contractor must provide PBGC a subscription to Capital IQ. Capital IQ serves as the primary information source for tens of thousands of investment bankers, financial analysts, and fund managers. Combining proprietary research with select third-party content, Capital IQ provides highly structured profiles of public and private companies, investment firms, and professionals. Depth of information includes company financials, relationships among firms and people, biographical and contact data, transactions, events, securities data, ownership, brokerage estimates, corporate governance, regulatory filings, and news. Standard & Poor's owns Capital IQ and is the only known source for the subscription.
    An interested party may e-mail a written capability statement with sufficient experience for these required services, which shall not exceed 3 pages in length. Interested parties may submit their capability statements, and qualifications for the provision of this service, which may or may not be considered by the agency via email to [email protected] no later than 3:00 PM EDT on January 30, 2009. This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Intent. No solicitation will be issued.
