A dynamic cardiac phantom is needed to provide technical evaluation of the CT/MR scanner and development/validation of new technology. The phantom must be capable of reproducing the motion of the left and right ventricle as realistic as possible. The material chosen to develop the phantom must be CT/MR compatible as well as having the CT/MR properties of tissue necessary to achieve similar attenuation/relaxation properties required to obtain a signal in vivo. In addition, the material must be compliant and capable of producing reproducible motion. Furthermore, the phantom should be able to accept external ECG signal to synchronize the timing of the contractions. A coronary artery model and user-friendly software interface for the control of motion and ECG is a significant plus. The National Institutes of Health Radiology & Imaging Sciences will procure a Dynamic Heart Phantom, MRI Compatible model;DHP02 with coronaries(tubing configuration) and one Pelicvan Protective Transporting Case. This is a Combined Synopsis for Commercial Services prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
