The United States Secret Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Cardiology and Internal Medicine, P.A., 5454 Wisconsin Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD 20815. This procurement action establishes a bridge contract for a short term interim period in order to continue critical health services while a competitive acquisition using full and open procedures is conducted. The bridge contract will be for a base period of three months, starting on April 1, 2012 and lasting through June 30, 2012 but will also have three one-month extensions to allow continuity of services in the event of unforeseen delays in the solicitation and award process. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitation package is available and the Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice.
