Notice of Intent for Sole Source The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central intends to issue a sole-source contract to Edwards Lifesciences, Inc for the procurement of cardiothoracic supplies for San Antonio Military Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The period of performance is 1 October 2018 - 30 September 2019, to include two (2) 12 month option periods. The North American Industrial Classification System NAICS) code is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (size standard: 1,250 employees). An award will be made on or after 1 October 2018. The solicitation number is W81K0018Q0282 and is generated for the purpose of posting this notice. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement with a current authorized Edwards Lifesciences distributor agreement or memorandum signed by Edwards Lifesciences which shall be considered by the agency. All responses received by 19 September 2018-11:00AM CST shall include the offeror's Edwards Lifesciences authorized Distributor certificate or memorandum signed by Edwards Lifesciences. Responses received claiming to be capable but without providing the requested certificate or memorandum will not be considered. The capability statement shall include sufficient information in detail to demonstrate that vendor is capable to provide the Edwards Lifesciences cardiothoracic supplies. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. A determination by the Government not to compete the interim purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
