The City of Carrollton is planning to construct the proposed Raw Water Holding Pond Dam to supplement their current raw water supply. The proposed dam will be constructed to meet current requirements of the Georgia Safe Dams Program (GSDP). The proposed dam and impoundment will be located in the northern portion of the City of Carrollton, approximately three miles north of the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and South Park Street. The project generally consists of site preparation, including the control of water, installing pipe conduit, forming and casting of concrete, installing internal filter drains and clearing the area of the impoundment. The construction of this embankment is expected to require on the order of 400,000 cubic yards of compacted fill. Scope of Work Only those Contractors who have been pre-qualified as a Prime Contractor will be considered qualified to bid on the project.
