The Town of Castleton is requesting proposals for the production of a study to scope pedestrian accessibility and connectivity in the Village of Castleton. The study will look at adding new pedestrian facilities, upgrading old facilities, determining enhanced safety measures, and determining alternatives, construction costs, implementation timeline, and potential funding sources. The scoping study will focus on the pedestrian network within the Village of Castleton, and along Main Street (VT-4A) from the Amtrak Station to Sand Hill Road as well as South Street through the Castleton University Campus to the D&H Rail Trail crossing. The attached map shows the current network of pedestrian facilities and the area highlighted for this study.
