United States Marine Corps has a requirement for Caustic Soda Liquid Form, White to Slightly Off-White, 25% Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH), for potable water treatment aboard MCB Qauntico. Request for Proposal (RFP) tentatively expected for release on/around 1 June 2015.

A formal Request for Information (RFI) was issued in FBO on 21 November 2014 and closed on 1 December 2014. The RFI included a summary of the objectives being sought for this requirement.

As a result of the RFI, two (2) capability statements were received. Analysis of the RFI responses indicates a sufficient number of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) are available to fulfill the objectives of the SOW; therefore, this requirement will be a total SDVOSB set aside. The Regional Contracting Office's Small Business Representative concurs with the SDVOSB set-aside.
