U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting on a sole source basis with Rockwell Collins Inc., 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498, for the procurement of two (2) CDU 7000D Test Stands P/N 987-8836-501 and two (2) CDU-7000D P/N 822-2538-001. The proposed action will be processed as a Firm Fixed Price purchase order for items which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.1. Firms that recognize and can provide the supplies are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal; however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date IAW FAR 5.203 (a). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The requirement will be released as a commercial requirement under FAR Part12.
