THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N00259-17-N-0015. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Abbott Laboratories; 100 Abbott Park Road Dept. 943 Bldg. Ap6c-3, North Chicago, IL 60064-3502. The objective of this sole source award is to acquire two Abbott Cell-Dyn Ruby Hematology Systems under a one-year lease, as well as reagent supplies compatible with the Cell-Dyn Ruby Hematology Systems to be delivered throughout the year. The systems are being acquired for use at Naval Hospital NAS Lemoore. Sole source is based on Abbott's ability to provide Hematology Systems compatible with the facility's CHCS information system as well as provide hematology systems that healthcare personnel at the facility will have already been trained on. All reagent supplies must be compatible with the Abbott Cell-Dyn Ruby Hematology Systems that will be in place at Naval Hospital NAS Lemoore. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339113; the small business size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
