THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N00259-16-N-0078. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: LDR Spine USA, Inc.; 13785 N Highway 183 #200, Austin, TX, 78750-1873. The objective of this sole source award is to acquire artificial disc replacements for a spinal fusion procedure. Sole source is based on LDR Spine's ability to provide a product meeting the characteristics required by the medical center. In order to meet the required characteristics the product must be: certified by the FDA to treat one and two level fusions cervical disc disease, be able to provide the minimal exposure without need for screws, and have self-locking plates for the implantation device. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112; the small business size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 12:00 PM Pacific Time on March 18, 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Jaime Flores at [email protected].
