CFD Red Hat Enterprise Linux Cluster System Upgrade
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has a requirement for an upgrade to its existing CFD Red Hat Enterprise Linux Cluster system. The upgrade needs to operate within the existing Red Hat Enterprise Linux brand software so that NRC staff can operate the system effectively and so that the upgrade will integrate properly with the existing hardware and software applications currently in production. The period of performance for this effort is one base year beginning September 15, 2014 through September 14, 2015. This notice of intent is a solicitation of offers. The authority for negotiating open marker bases is made under FAR 13.106-1(b) Other Than Full and Open Competition. The final determination not to award this proposed procurement based on responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and concise. Interested sources must submit their capabilities to meet the below requirements to Wanda M. The specifications for our software upgrade includes a comprehensive Linux cluster control management software application and cluster operating system upgrade to Red Hat Enterprise 6.5 on the CFD System.

- Cluster Control Management Software
- 3 years Cluster Control Software Support
The Cluster Control Management Software application allows for centralized
management of the linux cluster to perform the following minimum tasks:
9X5 3 year subscription service
2 socket per server machine
Re-imaging nodes
Modifying system image
Modifying node images
Restoring previous node image versions
Add users / delete users
Monitor system performance for one, group, or all nodes Monitor
loads, memory use, other system parameters for one, group, or all nodes
Rebooting systems for one, group, or all nodes Adding new nodes from bare
hardware- re-imaging Maintain system image and node image backups
General system administration tasks optimized for cluster i.e. -Issue
commands to one, group, or all nodes
Quotes will be evaluated on a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) basis, and the
