The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to MTU America, Inc. for the supplies as per the attached parts list in this Solicitation.

    
MTU America, Inc. is the only North America distributor for the OEM parts and as the original manufacturer of the referenced items maintains the proprietary rights, which makes them the sole source. The OEM has limited the availability of proprietary information.

This procurement will be made on behalf of the CG TRACEN YORKTOWN. The vendor will provide all the parts listed above. NAICS Code # 333618 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0800 PST 06 FEB 2017 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received by the date specified above to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to MTU America, INC.
