This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service Manchester Field Station located in Port Orchard, WA is seeking for a commercial fishing vessel to collect sablefish off the Washington Coast for the completion of a project on sablefish reproductive life history. The entire Solicitation is attached. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 487210 with a small business size standard of $7.0M. The government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract with period of performance commencing approximately from July 1, 2012 through Sept 30, 2013 with no option period. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication.
