For us to sustain chemistry functions here at Ellsworth, we have a variable analyte menu. We run approximately 100K analytes per year. More importantly we would need an analyzer that requires little downtime and minimal required maintenance. Field Service and Technical support are mandatory as Air Force Biomedical Repair Technicians do not work on these machines. We have to be able to provide STAT services for providers so that treatment can be started. Many disease processes involve follow up testing so standardized testing is required so that our results don't differ from other local labs results. The system of choice would incorporate discreet, random access, microprocessor controlled, integrated chemistry. Incorporating immunoassay testing along with enzyme, electrolyte and other variable analytes. Since our facility was recently upgraded, we lack sufficient spacing for multiple chemistry systems. Currently the analytes that we are performing here include: Glucose, BUN, Creatinine, Calcium, Sodium, Potassium, CO2, Chloride, Cholesterol , LDL, HDL, Creatinine Kinase, Total Protien, AST, ALT, ALP, Total Bilirubin, Direct Bilirubin, Uric Acid , GGT, ETOH, Albumin, Triglycerides, Phosphorus, Urine Creatinine, Urine Albumin, Prostate Specific Antigen, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, Free Thyroxin 4, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, and Hemoglobin A1C. The option of changing the testing menu will need to be flexible. A quality control program is also required as we do have to maintain accreditation standards. Also, the analyzer must be capable of interfacing with our Composite Health Care System (CHCS).
The lease will need to be from 1 Oct 2012 through 30 September 2013 and Analyzer Reagants will be needed to be delivered within that period.
