INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE -- FA8601-13-T-0029

The United States Air Force, LCMC/Operational contracting Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5344 is preparing to solicit for a firm-fixed price contract for Chemistry Laboratory Accreditation. This Sole Source synopsis is published for informational purposes only. This proposed action is for the procurement of Chemistry Laboratory Accreditation (industrial hygiene accreditation) of the laboratory located at the United Sates Air Force School of Aerospace medicine (USAFSAM) located at Wright-Patterson AFB. The service required is industrial hygiene accreditation focusing on environmental lead exposure and industrial hygiene sampling analysis. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii).

The proposed procurement will be a sole source under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 813920.

The proposed source is AIHA (American Industrial Hygiene Association), 3141 Fairview Park Drive, Suite 777, Falls Church, VA, 22042. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, quotation or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the Government if received within two (2) days of this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
