The Work under this Project consists of the improving and expanding an existing RV/Boat Storage Parking Lot. The design proposes two phases of expansion. The first phase roughly follows existing cleared limits, and the second phase will increase parking capacity further east to a previously developed area that is currently not utilized by the park and has naturalized overtime. Each phase proposes installing a gravel pad to serve as parking lot drive aisles and stalls. The site will be graded to send the majority of stormwater to the western edge, where a level 1 constructed wetland will treat water before releasing into a jurisdictional waterway. A small portion of stormwater will be released as sheet flow along the eastern edge of the facility into proposed conserved open space. This work only includes Phase 1 of the project. The total limits of disturbance proposed are 4.96 AC. All supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, and other appurtenances and/or incidentals required and any other work required as specified in the Contract Documents, shown on the Drawings, or otherwise required to complete the work of this contract in accordance with the Contract Plan/Drawings and Specifications. Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference The pre-bid conference will be held at Chickahominy Riverfront Park, 1350 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185, Picnic Shelter by the pool on Thursday, July 27, 2023 @ 9:00am. Bidders are strongly encouraged to walk the project site.
