The City of Belfast Wastewater Department is requesting bids for the piece of surplus equipment listed below; Equipment: 2009 Chevy 3500 with a 6.6 Duramax diesel engine with approximately 100,000 miles (exhaust code prevents actual mileage from being displayed). VIN# 1GBJK74649F159723 The truck is equipped with a rack body and hydraulic mounted crane. A 9.5-foot Fisher V-plow will also be included in this sale. The truck and all associated equipment is being sold as is with no explicit or implied warranties. The winning bidder is responsible for the truck’s conveyance from City property once awarded. The Wastewater Department has set the minimum bid for this equipment at $6,500. Bids will be opened at or about 2pm the same day. The high bidder will be notified and will have one week to respond and provide payment to the City for the equipment (August 20th). Should this bidder not respond or fail to provide payment, the truck can then be awarded to the next highest bidder at the City’s discretion. The winning bidder must arrange for the truck’s conveyance from the Public Works facility by the end of August 2024. The City of Belfast reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technicality or formality in the bids and to select any bid that it deems to be in the best interests of the City.
